I’ve written about our special morning surf ritual many times before and recently the amazingly talented Heather of Little Bird Photography tagged along. First of all I have to tell you how incredible Heather is. Not only is her name rad but she’s a genuinely sweet, kind and old soul kind of woman. Heather blended into our morning routine as if she was an old friend, she made us feel comfortable at ease and natural.

One of the reasons we’ve never done professional photos is out of fear that we would be staged. I don’t do well with makeup and hairstyles and coordinated outfits and hubby…well he just straight up refuses. It’s just not us.

The incredibly special thing about Heather and Little Bird Photography is that she is a lifestyle photographer. Her dream and her goal when photographing families is to capture who they really are.

She says,

” I want to do more than take pictures of families smiling on the beach. I want to dig deeper and find something fun and meaningful to them and then tag along to take photos capturing those fun memories forever.”

This is exactly what Heather has done for us and I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for her talents, her time and her stoke for our family passion.
