I love reading the blog Soulemama. A mama of 4 littles (with one more on the way) this mama strings together a beautiful picture of the special moments throughout her day that make being a mama such a gift. Although I’m sure there are challenging moments, Soulemama focuses on the things throughout her day that make all the work worthwhile and her blog is filled with great inspiration.

I’m in love with her “Mother’s Day” wish and wanted to share it with you all here:

And loads of lightening, thunder, pounding rain and power outages.

It seems Harper has tapped into his inner yogi and has decided that life is much more pleasant when observed from a back bend:

I honestly have no clue what is up with this. At first it started when trying to nurse him, a full on refusal to get anywhere near the boob. His eating has slowed down a ton and isn’t really even taking a bottle. Perhaps he is finally getting everything he needs in fewer time (ahh wouldn’t that be a dream?) or he isn’t feeling well and doesn’t want to eat. The other new thing is the five alarm scream that has started going on like clockwork 10 minutes into his sleep. Some have suggested maybe reflux hence the back bend, refusal to eat and crying? I have a suspicion some teeth are on the way because we also have a drool monster who is constantly sucking his fist. This fist sucking adds to my confusion because it used to be a for sure sign that he was hungry but feeding him doesn’t make the sucking stop…so ???? Who knew babies could be so hard to read?!
