Who needs a good laugh after yesterdays traumatic post? Some of you have seen these photos but I thought it was appropriate to share in this space as well–as proof that the boy is at least eating enough to do damage such as this (pay attention to the wall that my hand is directed towards, yes that is poo):

We lovingly now refer to our little one as “Bazooka Butt” because really he has earned that title. The photos don’t really do this diaper blow out justice but he shot the good old poo about two or three feet onto our wall. What’s even more impressive is the fact that his little fart sent poo in a direct line saving mama from a poo splattered shirt and extra shower.
Just look at the satisfaction and relief on this guys face:
And as if this blog hasn’t been graphic enough lately in the not so glorious parts of motherhood, here is an up close photo of the poo spray:
On a serious note though, THANK YOU all for your encouraging words. Not only have you offered advice, similar horror stories and encouragement through my breast feeding struggles but your support and enjoyment of this blog has really lifted my spirits! It’s so nice to “connect” with you all and I’m loving the new friends we’re making along the way. THANK YOU- THANK YOU-THANK YOU!

Along with being a guidance counselor, I nanny in the afternoon/evenings for a family of 8, any day now 9 kids…..ranging in ages from 2 to 13. Well the baby will be born any day now making it 9. Their mom is AMAZING…Breastfed all 8 and her husband is a WELL renowned ENT and head/neck surgeon. I shared your breasfeeding story with her, and immediately, she asked if he was tongue tied. I laughed because that was the case. She told me her husband sees SOOOOOOOOOOOO many new mama’s with the same exact issue. Most mama’s give up, and she credited you for sticking with it. Her husband performs the surgery to cut the frenulum (spelled wrong I’m sure). Anyway, if you ever need any medical questions answered, or from an 8 time, almost 9 time breastfeeder, please let me know. She breastfed ALL 8 till they were about 12 months.
